Highlights from our amazing trip to Albania - water, mountains, and history - what a combination - oh and burek of course!

Harvest day - the coreopsis have really come into their own this year. I'm so excited to dye with them this autumn.

New on the blog: Dyeing with coreopsis grandiflora. A lovely, sunny addition to garden borders and to the dyepot.

This is the kind of gift I'm happy to wake up to.

I'm a little late starting my #SOSUknitsMKAL2023 as I've been busy having fun with visiting friends. These yarns are wound and I've cast on. I've plundered precious deep stash because I want these yarns in my life, not in a box in the cupboard.

It doesn't look much but the sheepy smell is intoxicating - British grown and spun Romney yarn soaking. Tomorrow I will experiment with a solution from steeped alder cones collected in Cortona.

It's not only bees that are attracted to the peony! We garden with wildlife in mind, and oh how we are rewarded.
