These cute owl Creme Egg Cosies conceal a creme or similar sized chocolate egg in their tummies. They can also be used in a more traditional manner as regular egg cosies if, like me, you’re lover of boiled eggs. 

The cosies are knitted from the bottom up pattern provides instructions to knit them flat and then seamed, or to knit them in the round if you prefer..

Worked in DK yarn these Owl cosies knit up quickly and are ideal for charitable fundraisers or as gifts for friends or co-workers etc.

Sizes
One size: to fit a creme or similar egg e.g. Lindt Lindor etc. or chicken egg

Yarn
Using just 26 – 30 m (28 – 33 yds) of any DK weight yarn, these cosies are perfect for leftovers.

Gauge
22 sts and 38 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm (4 in x 4 in) over stocking stitch after blocking

Needles & Materials
3.25mm (US3) needles: dpns for working in the round or any needles if working flat, or needles required to achieve gauge.

Tapestry Needle
2 buttons for eyes
