Cute Cupcake Creme Egg Cosies that conceal a creme or similar sized chocolate egg. These cosies are perfect for Easter fundraising events.

The pattern includes instrctions for 2 styles of cosies worked with plain or striped icing.

The pattern provides instructions to knit the cosies flat and then seaming them or for knitting in the round.

Sizes
One size: to fit a creme or similar egg e.g. Lindt Lindor etc. or a regular boiled chicken egg.

Yarn
18 – 27 m (20 – 30) yds of any DK weight yarn – half in white or a pale cupcake case colour, and half in the icing colour.
An oddment in red or brown for a cherry or chocolate topper.

Gauge
24 sts and 26 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm (4 in x 4 in) over garter stitch after blocking.

Needles & Materials
3.25 mm (US 3) for ribbed cupcake case – dpns for working in the round or preferred needles if working flat
3.75 mm (US 5) for icing – dpns for working in the round or preferred needles if working flat
Tapestry needle
Optional – buttons or beads for embellishment.
