Sweet and simple, fudge is a festive tradition rooted in my teenage years when I was learning to cook and bake. It’s one that I return to most years and in which I find in it a sense of continuity and comfort. Some years those things are more important than others and I really hope that this year I can share these traditions with the people with whom they were made and to who they are also meaningful.
I also wanted to share the recipe here for anyone who may be thinking of making gifts this year. Fudge has long proven particularly popular among those who can tolerate and appreciate the high sugar content. I may joke, but this also means that a little goes a long way, and one batch of the recipe below will provide numerous gifts.
I hope you enjoy the recipe, let me know if you give it a try and lets hope we can all have a festive period of being together and making traditions.
All the best,
